Our Story

As Interior Designers

Yes, there really is a Rose at “Rose, the Kitchen Lady LLC”. That’s me, Rose Robbins, the Kitchen Lady herself!

It all started when I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Architecture and Urban Development from the Catholic University of Santos-Sao Paulo, in my native land of Brazil. I emigrated to the United States in 1988, got married and started raising my family. They always loved my cooking, and I loved to do it as well. Eventually this inspired me to combine my talent for preparing food and my training in kitchen design to eventually enter the field of kitchen design in 1998. Having skills in both cooking, and designing the place to cook in, gives me a unique ability to create kitchens that are not only beautiful and classy, but easy to use, functional and efficient. But don’t worry, we’re also happy to do bathrooms, closets, laundry rooms, basements or any other interior remodeling project!

In 2014 I decided to go into the interior designers business by myself, and founded my company, along with my husband Richard, in our hometown of Westport, CT. The name comes from the times I would show up at a customer’s house and hear, “the kitchen lady’s here!

Now that we have moved to Southwest Florida, we are offering the same interior remodeling services for Lee and Collier Counties. Our family teamwork, combined with the finest local craftsmen who we work with, makes “Rose, The Kitchen Lady LLC” lets us offer premier bathroom and kitchen design. Our interior design studio services Naples, Fort Myers, and everywhere in between!

All in all it went fine. The end result is simply beautiful. There were some glitches here and there, as might be on any large, complex project. But if a problem did come up, Rose and Richard were quick to respond. They clearly put the customer first. They were there throughout the project overseeing everything and problem solving when needed. They clearly regard customer satisfaction as their highest measure of success. I put a “B” for punctuality only because the project took much longer than anyone expected (some of that was our doing), but some was the result of the challenges associated with coordinating the various disciplines involved (plumbing, electrical, stonework, tile, etc.) But again, Rose and Richard work hard to resolve any issues and make us satisfied. Which we were.
